Debuting in 1996 with the decisive favorite Airsick, Imperial Teen resurfaced in early 1999 with What Is Not to Love, a minor stumble due to the winner of the sensual "Yoo Hoo." A term of enlistment with Hole followed, but the absolute absolute majority of their unrecorded shows was through with on a headlining club circuit. Disney rocks with "Camp" musical
"Camp Rock," which features a slew of musical performances from the teen heroes, averaged 8.9 million total viewers at 8-10 p.m. Friday, making it the cable network's second-most-watched original movie ever behind "HSM 2," according to Nielsen. "Camp Rock" pulled in about half of that movie's audience (17.2 million) in its August 17 premiere.
However, "Camp Rock" did outperform the original "HSM," which debuted in January 2006 to 7.7 million viewers, and other original movies like "Jump In!" which averaged 8.2 million in January 2007.
In the kid demos, "Camp Rock" drew 3.5 million kids 6-11 and 3.4 million tweens 9-14, which Disney said was higher than "American Idol's" most recent season premiere and finale on Fox.
The movie made Disney Channel the most-watched network from 8-10 p.m. Friday in total viewers, topping runner-up CBS by more than 3 million.
On Saturday, "Camp Rock" averaged 3.6 million total viewers when it aired as part of on sister broadcast channel ABC. It aired again Sunday on cable's ABC Family, and will premiere on Disney.com Monday.

Emerging during hip-hop's monolithic originative expansion of the late '80s, Big Daddy Kane was the ultimate lover man of rap's first gear 10, yet in that location was more to him than the fashionable wardrobe, gold jewellery, and sophisticated personal magnetism. Kane berserk a prodigious riming proficiency honed from numerous B-boy battles; he could besides be an Afrocentric consciousness-raiser midazolam in the philosophy of the Nation of Islam's Five Percent school, or a smooth urban soul crooner whose singing was no match for his talents as an MC. While he never scored a lot pop-crossover success, his c. H. Best material ranks among the finest hip-hop of its epoch, and his sex-drenched persona was staggeringly influential on innumerous future manque players.
Big Daddy Kane was innate Antonio Hardy in Brooklyn on September 10, 1968; the stage mention "Kane" was an acronym for King Asiatic Nobody's Equal. In 1984, he met Biz Markie, and the deuce smitten up a friendship. Kane would go on to co-write some of the Biz's best-known raps, and both finally became important members of the Queens-based Juice Crew, a collective headed by far-famed producer Marley Marl. Kane gestural with Marl's Cold Chillin' label in 1987 and debuted the following class with the 12" single "Raw," which became an underground sensation. His number 1 album, Longsighted Live the Kane, followed not long after and was evenly well-received, producing another underground classical in "Ain't No Half-Steppin'." Kane consolidated his success with 1989's It's a Big Daddy Thing, which spawned arguably his near effective love-man sung in "Smooth Operator" (and besides establish him working with new jack manufacturer Teddy Riley on "I Get the Job Done"). 1990's A Taste of Chocolate was a varied feat, highlighted by Kane's duets with Barry White and comedian Rudy Ray Moore, aka Dolemite.
Kane's number 1 major stumble came with the 1991 album Prince of Darkness, a mellower, more R&B-based collection that failed to play to the rapper's substantial suits; however, he retained his sex symbol position by sitting for Madonna's notorious 1992 picture book Sex, as well as Playgirl magazine. 1993's Looks Like a Job For... was something of an artistic counter, only it failed to reinstate his condition in the hip-hop community, which was in the midst of a Dr. Dre-inspired love function with gangsta belt. Kane moved to the MCA label for 1994's Daddy's Home, and dabbled in an acting career with appearances in Mario Van Peebles' 1993 dim Western Posse and 1994's Gunmen. However, he largely retired from the scene all over the following few years. Kane resurfaced in 1998 on Blackheart Records, cathartic what was apparently his leave-taking album, Veteranz Day.

Indie band spreads 'Barcelona' love
Woody Allen uses Giulia y los Tellarini song
"I equate Barcelona with love," said Giulia Tellarini, the singer of the little-known indie band whose song is featured in the film. Talking to reporters at May's Festival de Cannes, where the movie met with enthusiastic reviews, Allen called the track "perfect."
"Barcelona" can be heard in trailer for the film, due Sept. 5 in the U.S. and starring Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. In addition to "Barcelona," the soundtrack includes Giulia y Los Tellarinis' song "La Ley del Retiro."
The band's first album, "Eusebio," was released on iTunes in late May. Its music came to Allen's attention last year during filming, when the girlfriend of one of the band members left a CD with some of the group's songs on it at the director's hotel, the fashionable Hotel D'Arts.
"I didn't even know about it," recalled Tellarini, who was dubious when she checked the band's MySpace mail one day and found a message from someone in Allen's camp who was urgently trying to reach them. "I thought it was a joke. I didn't think that something like this could happen."
The band had similarly unexpected beginnings. Tellarini, 29, an accordion player, sound engineer and self-described "gypsy" from Northern Italy, met Alejandro Mazzoni, a musician from Buenos Aires who produces music for advertising and film at a studio in Barcelona.
Mazzoni and studio partners Maik Alemany and Jens Neumaier needed a female voice for a commercial and Tellarini, who had never sung into a microphone before, obliged. The four subsequently decided to record some music together, called in other musicians they knew, and within two weeks had written and recorded all of the tracks on the album.
"Our music is difficult to classify. It's got loads of influences," said Tellarini, noting her preference for traditional forms of popular song such as French chanson, tango, jazz and Latin boleros. "I think one of the main things about us is that we sing in different languages. We try and get inspired by the atmospheres of different countries."
"Barcelona," sung in Spanish, is a seductively bouncy tune with punchy brass and dark edges intoned by Tellarini's whispery vocals. The song reflects Guilia's on-and-off relationship with the city, written at a time when she was deciding between staying in Barcelona with Mazzoni or returning to Paris.
"Barcelona was expensive. There were too many people, I was confused," she said. "It wasn't the top point of my life."
Ultimately, Tellarini and Mazzoni moved to Berlin, where Tellarini finds it "cheap enough to be creative." But the couple plans to spend the summer in Barcelona with the rest of the band, where they'll play some shows to support the release of the album.
"We hope that people will appreciate the music -- not just the buzz it's getting because it's part of the film," Tellerani said.

McCartney Defends Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair Pics
The 21-year-old stuck up for the 15-year-old actress following the backlash the Disney Channel star encountered after posing for photos, which have been deemed too sexy for a teenager.
Cyrus' clean cut image was damaged by the release of images of her wrapped in just a satin bedsheet in June's edition of the U.S. magazine.
And McCartney can't understand why the media reacted so strongly.
He says, "I think that people are nuts. I didn't find any of the photos offensive in Vanity Fair. I thought they were artistic if anything.
"It sucks man. Everything about Miley was so sensationalised. I really feel for her you know."

"It was a fantastic night, it was emotional, it was everything I wanted, and hoped it would be.
"I knew I could do it, but could I do it when it needed to be done, with the nerves and everything? It was phenomenal."
